What to expect when you purchase an original:

The daily cartoons meausure 5" x 6" and the Sunday cartoons measure 4.25" x 9.25".  
Both are drawn using technical pens (tips ranging from .3 to .7) on smooth bristol board.
Micron markers are also used to ink in large areas of black.  

Prior to inking, the cartoons are pencilled in and you can sometimes see the light pencil marks on the originals.  Please note that after 2014, the cartoonist transistioned to an all digital method of creating his cartoons and originals do not exist for these newer cartoons. 

The originals show the line art before the cartoons are converted to digital where shading and color are added with Photoshop.
