I would like to point out a minor error in today's strip: when nurses pinch you to take a blood sample, they pinch a vein, not an artery. Pinching an artery should be done only by doctors. This procedure is done not to obtain a blood sample (as happenes with vein pinching), but to insert a catheter to do one of several exams. Additionally, making a fist only helps with vein pinching, not artery pinching. |
